Israeli genocide in Gaza
Israel presses ahead with its bombing campaign against Gaza, reducing homes to rubble and taking the lives of Palestinians in almost every single area of the besieged strip. The Palestinian resistance movement, Hamas, says Israel’s overnight strikes killed at least 140 people and injured hundreds more. The regime’s fresh bombardment targeted the al-Shati refugee camp in northern Gaza as well as areas in southern cities of Rafah and Khan Younis. Israel’s war on Gaza is now in its 18th day. Over five-thousand-700 Palestinians have been killed and 18-thousand injured so far. There are more than 2-thousand children among those killed. The regime’s strikes are coupled with a crippling siege of Gaza. The humanitarian situation keeps worsening, with hospitals facing a complete collapse. The UN Human Rights Office spokesman has warned the humanitarian situation in Gaza is teetering on the brink of a catastrophe.
Palestinian retaliation
The al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, has staged a massive rocket attack targeting Tel Aviv, as Palestinians keep up responding to Israeli bombardment of the besieged Gaza strip. Israeli media have described the attack as the biggest strike targeting Tel Aviv since the beginning of the war on October 7. Other Israeli cities, including Ashdod and Beersheba have also been targeted. A number of casualties have been reported. Hamas also attacked Israeli forces in several areas, including Mafkaim. Meanwhile, the Al-Quds brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, also staged various missile attacks on Israel. Over one-thousand-four-hundred Israelis have been killed in attacks by the resistance front since October 7. Thousands of others have also been wounded.
Israeli killing of journalists
The Iranian Foreign Ministry has strongly denounced Israel for killing of journalists in the Gaza Strip. The ministry’s spokesman, Nasser Kan’ani says these actions can not conceal the undeniable truth that the Israeli regime and its leaders are war criminals. He also said those supporting the regime are complicit in such crimes. Kan'ani added the disgrace of the brutal slaughter of civilians, including over 2-thousand children within two weeks, will remain a shameful stain on the record of the Zionist regime and its backers. According to Palestinian sources, 19 journalists have been killed in the Israeli attacks on Gaza since October 7.
