A car bomb detonation outside a police station in southwestern Colombia on Wednesday left two people dead and at least two injured, according to the deputy director of the Colombian national police.
The detonation caused structural damage to the police station, a hospital, and houses in Timba, at Cauca. Local residents were seen at the scene of the crime searching for belongings among the rubble.
According to General Tito Castellanos, the police in the area are under siege, therefore they had to request air support from the military.
The authorities are currently searching for those responsible for the attack.
