JCPOA revival talks

Iran has provided the European Union with its final conclusion on the talks aimed at reviving the 2015 nuclear agreement and is now awaiting the US response. Earlier on Monday, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said Tehran would offer its final conclusion on the JCPOA revival talks by midnight local time. He added that Iran sees no obstacle to a revived deal if its red lines are respected. The top diplomat said Washington must show flexibility and a realistic approach if it wants to restore the nuclear accord known as the JCPOA. Amir-Abdollahian said it would not be the end of the world if the US fails to do so. He warned that Iran has its own plan B if the JCPOA revival talks fail.

'NATO system in Asia'

Russian President Vladimir Putin has accused the US of trying to provoke conflicts across the world, especially in the Asia-Pacific region. Putin says one such attempt was the recent visit by US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to Taiwan. He says the trip was part of what he called a purposeful, conscious strategy to destabilize the region. The Russian president says the visit was a brazen demonstration of disrespect for the sovereignty of other countries. Putin also says Western countries are seeking to create a NATO-like military bloc in the Asia-Pacific.

Israeli fire kills 5 Gaza kids

Israel has admitted its strikes led to the deaths of five Palestinian children on the last day of its latest onslaught on the Gaza strip. An army inquiry has confirmed the deaths in an Israeli strike on August 7. The children were aged three to sixteen. The military initially claimed the minors were killed by a misfired rocket by the Palestinian Islamic Jihad. The three-day Israeli aggression killed 49 Palestinians, including 16 children. The regime ended its strikes after a ceasefire with the Islamic Jihad.
