Political turmoil in Tunisia

Tunisia has been in deep political crisis that has aggravated the country's economic conditions since President Kais Saied ousted the government, suspended parliament and assumed executive authority last year.

The crisis worsened when the president announced in March this year that he was dissolving the parliament. In the first part of our program today, we are focusing on the political crisis unfolding in Tunisia following drastic measures taken by the President to dissolve the elected parliament and dismissed scores of judges.

We are asking, what direction will this North African country take after a referendum is held later this month? In the second segment of our show today, we are discussing the continued impact of the Ukraine conflict on Africa and how the Ukrainian president was recently snubbed by African leaders.
