Lewandowski wins FIFA best awards for 2nd straight year
Bayern Munich and Poland striker Robert Lewandowski was named 2021 Best FIFA Men's Player of the Year.
The 33-year old striker won the award for the second straight year after scoring 69 goals in a season in all competitions.
He also broke legendary German Gerd Muller's 49-year record for scoring the most Bundesliga goals in a calendar year with 43 in 34 league appearances.
Meanwhile, Chelsea’s manager Thomas Tuchel won the award for the best FIFA men's coach for guiding Chelsea to their second Champions League title after only joining the club in January 2021.
In the meantime, Portugal's Cristiano Ronaldo was also honored for breaking the record for international goals which belonged to Iran’s football legend Ali Daei.
