NBA: Los Angeles Lakers 121-118 Memphis Grizzlies

The Los Angeles Lakers have earned their first win of the new NBA season, after edging the Memphis Grizzlies 121 to 118.

The Lakers were trailing by 10 points early in the opening quarter, but roared back to make it a 29-24 lead at the end of the 1st, and pushed the gap to 6 points at the Break. Memphis came out strong in the 3rd, and took a 3-point advantage into the 4th, but they fell short, allowing Los Angeles to secure a home victory. Carmelo Anthony scored 28 points for the Lakers, while Ja Morant had 40 points for the Grizzlies, who suffered their 1st defeat of the season.
