Iran have continued their perfect run in the 3rd stage of the AFC Asian qualifiers after defeating their arch-rivals, Iraq 3-nil in a Group A match in Doha.

Iran doubled the lead in the 70th minute, as Porto striker netted the ball from a tight angle after receiving a nice long pass by Sardar Azmoon.
Ali Gholi-zade put the icing on the cake in the dying moments of the match, with a precise shot from close range as Iran pocketed all three points. Iran will next meet the United Arab Emirates on the 7th of October.
