In this edition, Spotlight interviews Thiagarajan Sundararaman global project coordinator of EACT (Equitable Access to Care and Health Act) out of New Delhi and Gloria Taliani infectious disease specialist from Rome to look at why Covid-19 vaccine distribution is not reaching many poor or developing countries and why vaccine inequality is persisting. The World Health Organization has described global imbalance in access to Covid-19 vaccines as disgraceful, calling for moratorium on Covid-19 vaccine booster shots, at least until September.
