Trump reassures on China trade: 'Be cool, it will all work out'
Despite US President Donald Trump’s rhetoric against trade relations with China, Trump has said the two countries have a positive trade relationship despite previous unfair trade deals, adding that issues between Washington and Beijing “will all work out.”
“China and the United States are working well together on trade, but past negotiations have been so one sided in favor of China, for so many years, that it is hard for them to make a deal that benefits both countries,” the president wrote on Twitter. “But be cool, it will all work out!”

Trump has constantly slammed China for its trade practices, but has also insisted that he and China’s President Xi Jinping have a positive relationship.
“President Xi and I will always be friends, no matter what happens with our dispute on trade,” Trump had written on Twitter last month.

Trump to help ZTE
In a surprising departure from rhetoric on trade relations with China, Trump pledged on Sunday to help Chinese telecommunications giant ZTE Corp to "get back into business, fast" after a US ban has crippled the Chinese technology company, offering a job-saving concession to Beijing ahead of high-stakes trade talks this week.
Telecom giant ZTE is the fourth-largest phone vendor in the US. But, last month, the company was slapped with an export ban from the Commerce Department after the US said it had violated a deal by circumventing sanctions against Iran and North Korea.
"Too many jobs in China lost. Commerce Department has been instructed to get it done!" Trump wrote on Twitter. It said he and Chinese President Xi Jinping are working together on a solution for ZTE.
In an unexpected overture, he added that too many jobs in China were lost because of ZTE’s issues and said he has instructed the Commerce Department to “get it done.”

Kevin Wolf, assistant secretary of commerce under former US President Barack Obama said he was "speechless" at Trump’s reversal on ZTE.
Trump’s support for ZTE marks a departure from previous actions the White House and the federal government have taken against the company.
